Every PayPal transaction has two parts: a percentage of the transaction amount and a flat fixed fee. Both are deducted before the money reaches your account.
The rate depends on how the payment is processed: checkout button, QR code, invoice, or card. Micropayments have a higher percentage but a lower fixed fee — better for small-value transactions.
Payments from buyers in a different country add a 1.50% cross-border fee on top of the standard rate. Currency conversion fees may also apply separately.
Anyone accepting PayPal payments needs to know what they actually keep after fees.
